Six Melville scholars from six different states who serve together as the Melville Society Cultural Project will be the principal faculty of the Institute along with Jeffrey Markham of New Trier High School: Jennifer Baker (New York University), Mary K. Bercaw Edwards (University of Connecticut), Chris Sten (George Washington University), Robert K. Wallace (Northern Kentucky University), as well as Wyn Kelley (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Timothy Marr (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) who will serve as co-directors.
