Akshata Kadagathur

Akshata is part of Boston Day and Evening’s Humanities team, where she teaches literature courses. Prior to BDEA, Akshata completed her practicum with the Sheltered English Immersion team at Charlestown High School and worked as part of the School-Community Partnerships team at Boston Public Schools, and at Boston Arts Academy. She is licensed in English Language Arts and English as a Second Language. Akshata received her B.A. from Harvard College in History and Literature where she wrote her thesis on the Black Arts Movement, and her M.Ed from University of Massachusetts Boston with the Teach Next Year program.
