Stipend and Expectations

Twenty-five educators will be selected to attend the Institute. The interdisciplinary Institute is appropriate not only for teachers of secondary school literature, but also for teachers of history, social studies, science, and other disciplines at all grade levels, school administrators, librarians, and other educators. Each participant will receive a $2850 stipend for the Institute. If a participant is obliged through special circumstances to depart before the end of the institute, a pro-rata share of the stipend will be shared or returned. The assigned books will be provided to participants free-of-charge.

Application deadline: March 5, 2024

You will be notified on April 5, 2024 and must accept by April 19, 2024. 

Stipend: $2,850 (stipend is taxable as income)
